Inspections

Why Get an Inspection?

Pre-purchase: Find out if the RV you are considering to buy is in the advertised condition. Know what you are getting. Interested in an RV that is far away? An inspection can help you decide if it is worth making the trip.

Pre-delivery: Even brand new RV’s can have issues. Find out what needs to be addressed before you leave with your new RV. Your RV may be covered by a warranty, but it’s much easier to get service done before you leave.

Selling an RV: If you are selling an RV, a detailed inspection report with pictures can give prospective buyers confidence in your RV. 360 degree photos allow buyers to see your RV in detail even if they are located far away.

Warranty Period: Is the warranty period on your RV ending soon? An inspection can give you a list of items to get repaired while still under warranty.

What is an RV Inspection?

An RV inspection involves testing of the different systems and appliances and a visual inspection. For motorized RV’s it can include fluid analysis such as engine oil, transmission fluid, engine coolant and generator oil. A typical inspection can take an entire day. This may seem like a long time, but a typical RV has all of the systems as a house and more. Plus it has to be able to handle the bumps as it travels down the road.

Inspecting the Roof

Upon completion of the inspection, you will receive an inspection report detailing each inspection item. We offer two levels of inspection … Essential and Premier. The Essential level inspection report is typically 30 to 50 pages. A Premier level inspection report is over 100 pages. Both reports contain many photos and can be viewed online. Photos can be magnified and include 360 degree photos that allow you to see it as if you were there.

Fluid analysis samples are sent to a nationwide testing lab which sends a detailed analysis and report for each fluid sample. Fluid analysis offers a way to find out what is happening inside an engine. It’s the equivalent of getting bloodwork when you see the doctor.
